Before I was introduced to Beachbody, I was a runner. I ran in high school and off and on in college, but it was never year-round and never consistent. Then, I got married, I had kids, my body changed. Life changed. My time was not my own and I was feeling uncomfortable in my own skin. I picked up running again and decided to run 3 miles, 3 times a week. While I was able to do this better over time, I was not losing any weight. I actually ran my first half marathon at a size 10/12. I thought I was "destined" to be this size forever.
I looked back at my race photos and didn't like what I saw. I decided to figure out "clean eating" and give it a go. Let me tell you, it was HARD. Like, SUPER HARD. I was on an island, all alone, and no one around me understood what I was doing or why. But, I knew that I wanted to change MORE than I wanted to stay the same. So I kept going.
In four months, I had lost 30lbs. My race times got faster and I realized that this lifestyle was maintainable.
After a few more half marathons and a full marathon, I decided I needed a break from running and decided to try this "Beachbody" thing that I honestly knew nothing about. What I found were some AMAZING cross-training programs that fit SO well with my running and allowed me to get stronger. Along with that, the meal guide and portion control system really dialed in my nutrition. I had been eating whole foods, but portion control is where it's at if you want to maintain for life.
Since I hadn't been running as much with an injury, I had gained a pant size before starting 21-Day Fix. After one round of the Fix I had lost that pant size and FINALLY felt good about what I was doing. I completed PiYo while Half Marathon training and set personal records in both my half and my 5K race times. You can read my review here.
It wasn't just the great programs I could do from home instead of going to the gym. So, what is this 5K: Start to Finish Challenge Group?
This group is going to be one-of-a-kind. It is an accountability group for EVERYONE. The BONUS is that a 5K training plan will be provided to help you accomplish your first 3.1 mile race (or first in a long time), if you would like to work towards that goal.

Guys, I am SO excited that spring is FINALLY here! I'm ready to bring on the warmer weather, let that sun shine, and get back to being outside with my kiddos!
But, let me be honest, I wasn't always ready for spring. You know why? Spring means finding an Easter dress, sleeveless is back on the racks, and SHORTS will be on their way. EEEEK! SHORTS! Maybe you wouldn't believe it if you didn't know me then, but I NEVER wore shorts when I was 30lbs heavier. I hated my thighs, hated how those shorts would ride up, and let's not even talk about sitting down and trying to look comfortable! I loved tanks, but always wished for definition in my arms instead of jiggle.

What IS a Challenge Group? I'm glad you asked!
In this closed, online group, you will be greeted by your personal coach and led by a team who's purpose is to bring HOPE through health and fitness. We strive to help you reach your physical goals while encouraging your heart to stay the course. REAL change comes from the inside out. We want to help you overcome former obstacles and give you the tools for success!
STEP 1: Pick your Program.
There are a host of programs available to you, based on your specific needs and what you kinds of exercise you enjoy most. All of our Beachbody programs include workouts you can do from the comfort of your own home, so save some money and wave "bye-bye" to that old gym membership! Each program ALSO includes a nutrition guide, meal planning helps, and everything you need to understand whole foods and portion control in a simple, maintainable way. ANY fitness is good fitness, but not ALL nutrition is helpful for the body. Our programs give you the tools to understanding which foods are richest in nutrients and help your body perform at its best. It's the perfect time to incorporate FRESH foods, not canned, and keep those prepackaged snacks on the shelf!
