I will be the first to admit that I have cravings. Yup. I am a health coach and I still get the cravings for chocolate (mostly), tortilla chips, and Papa John's pizza. Listen, I indulge in all of those from time to time, but NOT the way I USED to. I have learned a little more about self-control and I'm STILL learning how to give GOD control!!

I have learned that many people, especially women, turn to food for comfort, instead of God. Many women struggle with reaching healthy goals WHILE growing closer with God. I am not an expert, so I am calling on the help of my friend, Lysa Terkeurst. Okay, we don't ACTUALLY know each other in person. ;) BUT--the way she writes, I feel like we COULD be best friends! In her book, "Made to Crave," she shows the missing link between a woman's desire to be healthy and the spiritual empowerment necessary to make that happen.
I feel like the best place to start is with turning our cravings from food into cravings for God. That is what this book is going to help us do. Each day in the Challenge Group starting August 22nd, I will be posting a short message that goes along with what we are reading in "Made to Crave." In addition to changing our hearts, we will focus as a group on changing our health through whole food nutrition and daily exercise. It will literally be the whole package. Ok, so the book sounds great, but what IS a "challenge group?" I'm glad you asked! A challenge group is a place for like-minded people to work together to achieve their health and fitness goals. I have been running these groups with great success, but I've never run one quite like this! Challenge groups have a ton of SUPPORT, ENCOURAGEMENT, and all kinds of things to help you live the healthiest life possible! How long is the group? The group will begin on Monday, August 22nd, and run for 4 weeks, with the first week set up as prep week. You will learn what clean eating is, how to make a meal plan, grocery lists, and how to take "before" pictures and measurements so you can track your progress. There are no embarrassing weigh-ins and you can choose to send your "befores" just to me as your coach (to hold you accountable), or just keep them for yourself.
What kinds of exercise is involved? Your challenge pack will include a complete program of your choosing.* There are a variety of programs to choose from, which will determine your challenge pack cost. This particular group will focus on the new Country Heat and 21-Day Fix, though all Beachbody programs are allowed. Why do I recommend these?
